1. Present Tense


a) Simple Present Tense/ Simple Indefinite Tense:

We include the sentences like regular Action, Statement, and regular thing, Common truth.

Structure : S    +    V(s/es)   +     O

Eg : I.    I            eat                a Mango.

II.   You      read              a book.

III.  Sun        rises             in the east.

IV.  He         drinks           water.

V.   Mayuri  plays            cricket.

VI.  Anand   goes             to school.

VII.       I sing a song.

VIII. I drive a bike.

Simple Present Tense(Negative Sentences)

Structure: S+Do/does+not+V+O

I.                I don’t drink tea.

II.            He does not sing with harmonium.

III.       They do not watch movie.

IV.      We do not listen songs.

Simple Present Tense- Verbal Sentences (Yes-no type)

Structure: Do/does+S+V+O.

I.                Do you eat a mango?

II.            Do you want a chocolate?

III.       Do you have a pencil?

IV.      Does she like the book?

V.           Does he goes to work?

Simple Present Tense: Wh question

   Structure : Wh+S+V(s,es)+O+?

I.                Why you eat mango?

II.            Why you want a chocolate?

III.        Why she likes the book.

IV.      When we go to village.

V.           Who sing a song.

VI.      Who tell to you?

VII.  Who help you?

  

b) Present Continuous / Progressive Tense

Structure :    S     +  am/is/are  +V+ing +O

              I.     I            am         eating    a Mango.

              II.   Swati     is           playing  kho-kho.

              III. They are going to the market

              IV) We are enjoying the day.

              V)  I am playing a game.

              VI. I am learning English.

Present Continuous / Progressive Tense (Negative)

       Structure : S+am/is/are+not+V+ing+O

I.                I am not eating a mango.

II.            He is not riding a bike.

III.       She is not cooking rice.

IV.      We are not watching movie.

V.           They are not going to village.

 

Present Progressive Tense-Verbal Sentences

Structure : Am/is/are/ +S+V+ing+O?

I.                Are they going to the market?

II.            Is she dancing on the stage?

III.       Is he playing a Musical Instrument?

IV.      Is he watching a movie?

Present Progressive Tense-Wh Question

Structure: wh+am/is/are+V+ing+O+?

    I. Why am I writing a letter?

    II. Where is he going?


c) Present Perfect Tense:

       Structure :    S +have/has+V3+ O

              I.     He has written a letter.

              II.   He has eaten a Mango.

              III. She has done her homework.

              Iv. We have read a lesson.

              V. They have played football.

Present Perfect Tense:(Negative)

Structure: S+have/has+Not+V3+O

I.                Shankar has not sold his bullocks.

II.            Samadhan has not completed his homework.

III.        Ram has not written a poem.

Present Perfect Tense:(Verbal Sentences)

Structure: Have/has+S+V3+O+?

I.                Have I written a letter?

II.            Have you completed your homework?

III.       Have you gone to village?

IV.      Has she drunk the water?

Present Perfect TenseL(Wh Sentences)

       Structure:wh+have/has+S+V3+O+?

I.                Why have I written a letter?

II.            Who has asked you?

III.       Why have you come here?

IV.      When has he gone to Mumbai?

 

d) Present Perfect Continuous Tense

Structure : S+Have/ has+been+V+ing +O

I.                She has been completing her project since last month.

II.            He has been reading a novel for last two hours.

III.       I have been posting the letter to post office for last six months.

IV.      I have been writing a novel for last two months.
